Not receiving incoming calls - goes to voicemail

I just switched to public mobile a couple days ago. I can make calls, send and receive texts, use data, but it’s not allowing not incoming calls. All my iPhone settings seem fine.

Thanks

As mentioned earlier, this is a port that has not completed or has failed.

I'm willing to bet that voicemail that people are hearing when they call your number is the voicemail account that you had set up at your old carrier.  Simply put, for now, if you don't want to miss your calls, re-insert your old sim card and keep using it for now.

I would ,make sure that you have your account number from the carrier that you are trying to leave.  After you have that, contacting the moderators to have them reprocess another number porting request should be relative simple.

Check your settings, sometimes settings mysteriously switch themselves!

  • Start your PHONE app.
  • Click MORE (or three dots icon) in the top right corner of the screen (or the OPTIONS/MENU button on older devices)
  • Click SETTINGS.
  • Click CALL FORWARDING.
  • Click VOICE CALL.
  • Click ALWAYS FORWARD and then DISABLE.

@Erinhalverson dumb question, but have you tried powering your phone off for about 30 seconds and then powering it back on?  If not, please humour me and try it.

This sounds like a partial port has not been completed.  As suggested in the post above mine, please send a private message to the Moderator_Team account.  You should include your account number found in My Account, your temporary PM number if you know it, the desired port in number, your PIN, and a description of your issue.

Quick question... was this a wireless number, or a Landline or VoIP number?  Wireless normally complete within a couple hours, the others take longer, 7-10 days at worst.
