Not receiving 2-step verification codes from Microsoft

A week or two ago I suddenly stopped receiving 2-step verification codes from Microsoft.  Everything else remains functional.

Could this be a Public Mobile issue?  It seems unlikely, but I'm having a tough time getting the issue resolved.

HI@slugboy6000 make sure you didn't block the shortcode used by MS

and, why don't you use Microsoft Authenticator?  it is safer then text

Thank you for all of the replies.

If it's not a Public Mobile issue then I will let Microsoft sort it out.

How about considering changing MS 2FA to using the authenticator app instead of SMS?  You won't have to rely on SMS system regardless of carrier.

If you use a VPN app or service, maybe turn it off and try getting the 2FA text again from Microsoft.

Microsoft recently sent out noticed about updates to their Terms of Service.

You might want to check out the new Terms of Service and see if you have to do or accept anything.

I changed plans recently, if that matters.  I don't have any blocked numbers and I still receive 2FA SMS from all other vendors.  I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something at my end - thank you.

I just login Microsoft account, don't need 2FA. It could be Microsoft account acknowledge my IP address, so don't need it. Same as when I login RBC bank until I went to other place therefor the IP address has been changed, then need 2FA code or security questions answer.

@slugboy6000 , if things were working before, there is no reason why it should not continue to work.  By chance have you complete a number change recently or maybe blocked SMS on the messaging app?
