Nokia TA-1053

Violets
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Hi,

I am about to refer a friend to PM.  I am just checking to see if Nokia TA-1053 is compatible with Public Mobile.

Thanks for your help.

@Violets

The phone is missing the 1700 uplink band and the 1900 downlink so your phone may have some issues with its 4G LTE data service. But all of your services will work on the 3G network without issue which is more important because voice calling at pm only works on the 3G network. Whereas data and texts work on both networks.

Hi @darlicious you were posting links?  earlier I was only posting the bands of the phone has, just bands info, number,  and the spam filter kept delete my post. 😞

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS)

It should be good to go!!!

hi @Violets  while this phone will work,  make sure yours is a North American version.  There is an Indian variant,  it won't work very well as it does not have all the required bands .  If you can, put your PM SIM into the phone to test first if that is an Indian variant
