No service for the SIM card with new activation

After a new activation I have a phone number, but no service at all (calls or messages). The phone does't see the SIM card. I am trying to logon to Eversafe account, but for confirmation,  it sends a 6 digit code to the new phone number that I cannot access.

Did you try rebooting your phone by powering off then back on and see if that fixes the issue?
