Was your renewal last night? Your Auto pay may have failed. Check your account and see what it says. If it suspended make a payment and reactivate. Reboot phone.
If this is not the issue try rebooting your phone. If that doesn't work try turning airplane mode on. Wait 10 minutes. Turn airplane mode off. See if it connects to the network. Make a call.

As for the no reception part, does it say anything on the phone's screen such as emergency calls only, invalid sim, or sim card not provisioned?

What plan are you on?
Maybe you're on the $10 plan and you've used all your minutes.
Or your plan has expired and you account is suspended.
