I can send but not receive texts. Switched a cell from from Freedom.

 

Network all looks good. SIMon was no help.

It worked out. My old provider sent me an email around 9 this morning saying they had released my number and about 2 hours later it worked. So freedom was just slow on their end.

I did receive and reply to the text from my old carrier.

Sounds like the porting wasn’t completed.

Did you reply to a text from Freedom with the Freedom SIM in the phone? You have 90 minutes to reply to the text as noted by @softech.

You can contact the SIMon and type in Create a Ticket to restart the porting process if you didn’t reply to the text.

@sheldonmcbride   did you reply the text from Freedom within 90 mins?  that is a critical step

 

If you did, that is good, just keep reboot your phone every 15 or 30 mins and good thing will happen

 

If you missed that , there is a number to call.  I  will private message you the number and you can confirm the porting status and they will advise you what to do.  Please check your Community inbox on the top right

Try the following:

 

  • reboot device
  • toggle airplane mode on/off
  • reset your network connections
  • remove SIM card, then reinsert it
