Did you download the Public Mobile app to your cell and activate your new account ? Just take a new number for now and when the plan is up and running, you can initiate a port-in of your old number. As long as it's eligible to be ported, that is.

You can get the code by email. Under where you enter the code you should see did not get code. Click on it to sent to email
