is the sim still working on the old phone?
if it just not working on this new phone, check if the phone was blacklisted (especially if you bought this phone privately)

An iphone 15 was using sim in my old iphone. Tried resetting and restart

what phone do you have?
did you try reboot phone and reset network settings?
if physical sim card, test the sim on another phone
