New phone no data

Hello i got a new phone and now I have no data I can get calls and texts but no data. I put in my sons wind chip and it gets everything anything I can do to get it working? It sucks to pay for something you can't use. Also if I put the chip back in my old phone everything works again so I don't think the chip is bad like the store told me. The phone is unlocked and the calls work

@Lynne glad to hear it's working!  Did you get a new phone for Christmas?  🙂  What did you get?  (Just curious)

Hi, your call and sms are working but data is not working. So the phone is unlocked for sure.
Can you please check your mms please by trying to send mms. If mms also not work then the problem is definitely apn (access point name) setting.
Then configure the APN manually by the link mentioned above by computergeek541.

Access points need to be set up many times when the phone comes from a different carrier.  Some phones have the settings arleady saved within the phone's software but others do not.  In fact, there are many model phones when sold directly by the manuacter as factory unlocked do not require the user to manually enter these settings in, but if you buy that same phone from a carrier, those same settings for any other carrier are often missing (often a deliberate attempt by that carrier to make the phone harder to user on a different company).

Here are some general steps for setting up the access points:
