I tried activating a new sim card and when picking a number, I picked one that was apparently already in use. So now I cannot login to that account or anything. I need someone to reset that sim card with a new number.

a funny Telus glitch and you are not the only victim 🙂
you need PM to get you another number first. Once you got the new number, you can then log back into your account choose change number again. No worries, you can change as many as 4 times a month
