Hello,
I've been seeing increasingly competitive offers from other companies - particularly Zoomer. Is there any plan of Public Mobile making changes to keep customers?

It all depends on what kind of "investor" you are.... public mobile is low risk, low investment but has a steady rate of return if you just stick with it or a better rate of return if you really believe in it by getting referrals or helping out in the community ( volunteerism mental rewards are priceless!)
If you gravitate towards Berkshire Hathaway, Walt Disney Co, Starbucks or banking stocks then stay with pm.
If you don't want to invest in a phone or do you want to get one for "free" because you can't afford to buy it? Are you dazzled by free data buckets? Large plan data alottments for only $5, $10 or $20 more per month? You can make them work for you but they are risky but possibly high return investments ? A free phone!
Like wayfair, twitter or even Moderna but similar to investing in start ups.... high risk, high return investments can come at price if you are not wary of the small print or a change in your finances could then spell disaster! What do you do if you lose your phone or worse yet your job?

To be honest, hard for me to think they will withdraw the Provincial call idea.
I just hope they will give like 7 days or 14 days countdown when they really switch that over, not just change overnight.

Indeed, a market leader in terms of that change... @softech LOL
It'll be interesting if they'll retain that 'leader' status if other similar tier providers do not follow suit.
I still find it surprising they've continued the "Limited Time Offer" specials for so long. Don't think many suspected this... perhaps their activation number studies don't have enough data yet to make a determination...

It is hard to say when PM will offer new plans. Keep checking the plans page.

Also keep an eye on the announcements section if any new plans are announced.

yes, PM is good for low usage low price plan. Plans < $35 are still decent.
However, if you paying more than $35 and you don't mind post-paid, there are in fact many good choices around now.
Zoomer is definitely a strong player, esp if you need a new phone (or you can private sell you phone to offset some cost)
In terms of what PM is doing to response to the market.. yes, they did.. they announced that are going to take away Canada-wide calling and replacing with Provincial calling. $5 extra to keep it 😓 (PM is a market leader in terms of this change.)

Being a third-tier provider, Public Mobile is constantly watching the market of other major suppliers third-tier providers.
Public Mobile has been known to be a follower in this market, and not a leader.
As it stands now, what sets them apart is their reward categories, specifically their referral, loyalty, and auto-pay rewards.
In order to benefit from their Community rewards for helping others, there's a lot of effort put into that for a very little (but indeed, welcome 😉) payout.
