Data not working in US despite CAN-US-MEX plan

Hi,

I have subscribed to the Can-US-Mex plan but I am not able to access the data here. My phone isn't able to catch any signal from any provider. I checked the APN settings too and also toggled airplane mode. Rebooted the device as well. But still not working. 

Please help.

@Phil_Adelphus Ah I see. The phone is from India.

@Rushil   Where is the phone from, on a few sites I looked at Realme phones are not, or at least were not, available in the USA.  That might be the problem, there are a number of Google results suggesting problems using Realme in the USA.

Then it is a problem in your area

The roaming is based on US coverage, not something in PM's control 

Check again when you move to another area

@slusagm @Phil_Adelphus I don't see it in options to select T-Mobile or AT&T. I only see Verizon 4G or 20001 4G. However, even if I click on Verizon, I am not able to connect to that.

@Rushil   I think with that phone voice calls will not likely work unless you can connect to 2G on T-Mobile.   The USA shut down 3G in 2022 so unless the phone is VoLTE approved by Public Mobile it won't work for voice calls.  If there's no T-Mobile in your area, which is quite possible because they are shutting that down too, I would try to connect to Verizon at least for data.  PM's roaming partners in the USA are T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon.

I am using Realme X2 mobile with Android 11. I set it to manual. I see Verizon 4G and 20001 4G. However, on trying to register with Verizon, it shows the service is not available.

@Rushil   If you set the network to manual instead of automatic do you see any carriers listed there?  What phone do you have, that would make a difference to voice calls but data should still work.

Yes, data roaming has been turned on for the public mobile sim. Yes, neither data nor voice is working. 

My phone is set to an option (4G/3G/2G) (Auto).

@Rushil   Do you have data roaming turned on in settings?  Do you mean voice and texting aren't working either?  Is your phone set to 3G, 4G/LTE or 5G?
