@VEP Dropped calls is public mobile issues , many have complained about dropped calls with PM myself included . Can try phone set to 3G for voice calls and see if that helps , otherwise i just deal with it in light of low cost cell plans from public mobile . But read thru the forums you will see many have experience dealing with dropped calls around here and even thou someone will say but it’s same network as Telus so should be just as good , I don’t find that the case either as I have Telus lines too and don’t experience the amount of dropped calls with Telus o still belive and many here say NO it’s not true but I think it has to do with network priority and public being tier 3 and Telus tier 1 if someone getting bumped ( dropped calls) it’s public before Telus customer far as I’m concerned

What would the solution be to connect to the stronger signal? I constantly keep having phone calls drop.

@VEP My phone often has only 1 or 2 bars but works fine. But try turning off your battery saver as that can affect your connection.

@VEP likely you are not close enough to the signal towers so signal strength drops down. Have you had strong signal strength in the past in the same location? I would try going around to other areas to see if signal strength improves. Below is Public Mobile's coverage map, should give you an idea of what you should be expected to get

Could be various obstacles like tall building, a lot of metal around you, etc.
Cell tower deteriorating, your phone dying, etc.
Compare your signal with other's people (but same provider).

1 bar doesn't always mean that coverage in your area is bad. It's entirely possible that your phone is hanging to a weaker signal that is able to provide faster data speeds. That doesn't always mean that there isn't a stronger signal avaialble that your phone could switch to if needed.
