Hi all, I activated my PM account yesterday and transferred my number from TELUS. Both accounts were using eSIMs, and I replied "YES" to the port-out text message from TELUS.
The issue is that I now have no signal on my phone. Since Public Mobile is owned by TELUS and uses the same network, I'm a bit confused if the port is still processing or if something went wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 😊

Don't worry, this is a common issue when transferring a number between TELUS and Public Mobile (since they share the same backend network).
Here are the most likely causes and how to fix them:
1. eSIM Profile Conflict (Most Common) Since both your old TELUS plan and your new PM plan use eSIMs, your phone might still be trying to connect to the old TELUS eSIM profile.
Go to your phone's Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data.
Check if your old TELUS eSIM is still turned on or if both are active.
Turn off or delete the old TELUS eSIM, and make sure your new Public Mobile eSIM is set as the Primary / Active line.
2. Restart Your Device & Reset Network Settings
Restart your phone completely (or toggle Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF).
If that doesn't work, try doing a Reset Network Settings in your phone options.
3. Porting Delay Even though you replied "YES" to the confirmation SMS, ports between brands on the same network (TELUS / Koodo / Public Mobile) can sometimes take between 2 to 5 hours (and occasionally up to 24 hours for all services to stabilize).
4. Re-install the Public Mobile eSIM If you still have no service:
Log into the Public Mobile App on Wi-Fi.
Go to Account / Profile > Install eSIM to re-download or push the profile to your device.
If none of this works after 24 hours, you should contact a Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CS Agent) via the SIMon chatbot or by sending a direct ticket so they can manually clear the porting stuck state on the backend.
Hope this helps get your service up and running quickly!

first, disable Telus eSIM from Sim Manager or Settings->Cellular
Next, go to Sim Manager or Settings->Cellular and check if PM sim is showing there. Make sure the Public Mobile sim is enabled , or Turn on this line option is toggled on. Also, change the label to Primary
Reboot your phone and Reset network settings and test and confirm if all work or let us know of if any the following does not work: inbound and outbound calls, inbound and outbound text, mobile data.
if the sim not connecting, ask PM support agent to help. You can submit ticket by direct message:
