Hi,
I am a subscriber to public mobile (ever safe) for telephone calls and cellular data. This month I have used up 98% of my available data so far. Since I need to use more than 2% of the 1024 MB that my subscription allows, I am wondering if there is a way for me to have more available cellular data without changing my current subscription plan.
e.g. If I pay my telephone bill early, does that mean that I can use up to 1024 MB again?
Thank you for taking the time,
Cordially,
Pikachu1

I was going to mention the same suggestion as @Handy1.....for basically the same price as your current plan renewal and a 1gb data add on ($25+$15=$40) you can renew early on the $39/20gb plan. You save $1 and gain 19gb.....in fact it's even better than buying the $15/1gb data add on because pm has started to adhere to its rewards plan's rules/policies which credit your account with your rewards approximately 24 hours after an early renewal or immediate plan change.
This just goes to show how ridiculous this policy change of data add ons expiring 30 days after purchase really is....? If anything it's aimed at lower income folk on the $15 plan or the unlucky $13 plan subscribers ( or anyone else grandfathered into their plan) to force a plan upgrade and increase the overall ARPU.
The bf is a good example....instead of telling me he wanted more data a week into his 30 day cycle he bought the $30/3gb add on. Had he told me he could have changed plans to the $39/20gb plan and saved $$?!! He paid.....
$15 - $15(rewards)=$0/30 day plan+$30/3gb data add on that expires 7 days into his next 30 day plan renewal=$45 gross or $30 net cost.
Had he instead done an immediate plan change on his 7/30day cycle he would have started a new 30 day cycle gaining 7 days of service and unlimited calling. Paid $39/20gb - $15 (rewards credited back to his account)=$24 net cost or $54 gross cost+16.750gb of more data at full speed 4G LTE data rather than throttled to 3mbps data.
@Pikachu1 Note: your data speed gain by changing plans to the $39/20gb plan for 30 days.
Public Mobile is Grrrreat!! 🐯🐈⬛🤔

I think there's some misunderstanding here other than from the cat. The system will let you start a new 30 day plan anytime you like. That plan can be the same plan you're currently on. Call it early renewal if you will. You don't need support for this task.

@Pikachu1 you can change to $39 and change back to $25 the next month, no contract here and $25 plan likely won't go away
I do not suggest you to buy data add-on mainly because of the cost and the 30 days expiry. If you don't used them all, it would be a waste. Here are two options for add-on you have
1GB Add-on - $15.00 (10 Reward points)
200MB Add-on - $5.00 (5 Reward points)
Unless you only need 200Mb for the remaining of the cycle, early renewal would be better choice if you are short of couple days or change plan would be nice if you need lots 9f data short term

@Pikachu1 Yes you can . But if you change immediately you won’t get the old rewards discount until the following renewal . It’s why it’s advised to change on renewal so you don’t loose out money on current cycle and miss out in rewords earned the prior 30 days earned

do you think I can change my subscription to 39$/mo and then change back to my current plan without losing out on my loyalty and other rewards?

I believe you can renew early yourself if you schedule a change plan on next renewal to a different plan then your current plan ($25/1gb?) will appear as an option to change "now".
Edit:
After renewing early cancel the scheduled plan change.
There is also the $5/200mb data add on option if need be.....? Or if you happen to be on points rewards (Do not join the points program!!) You can redeem 10pts=1gb data add on.

@Pikachu1 you can but a data add on in my account under subscriptions and add ons tap (page ) but it expires 30 days after purchase . But for the price of that . You may want to consider the promo plan on right now for 20GB for $39 as 1GB data add on is $15

With the recent change to pm's add on data that now expires 30 days after purchase your best bet if you are very near your renewal date would be to renew your plan early.

You can buy 1GB data addon temporally. That's the easiest solution.

@Pikachu1 you can ask PM support to renew your plan ealier. If your are close to renewal date, it is the best way and cheaper
If you are far away from renewal and need a lot more data, you can buy data add-on or change plan. But add-on are not cheap and has an expired of 30 days. So, it might not be a very economical way
To message support for early renewal:
