Hello. I lost my phone a couple of days back and am in the process of getting a new sim card but I want to keep my old phone number. Can you please explain how I go about this?

@148730maa - pick up a SIM card in-store or online: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/sim-card
See how to report lost / stolen: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/lost-or-stolen-phone
See "How To Change Your SIM Card" in this Help Article: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/sim-swap

I'm guessing this goes without saying, @148730maa , however you are an EXISTING public mobile customer, correct?
Just ensuring you're not with another provider, lost your phone, and are moving over to Public Mobile.
If that was the case, you'd have to activate the new SIM card here and get another one from the prior provider to be able to respond "YES" to the port authorization request to move the service from there to here.
However.... it's likely you're an existing customer and simply changing SIM card on the same account/number, in which case @softech outlined it well above.

Once you got the sim card, go to My Account from ONLY a desktop or laptop computer to request Change Sim card (please note that due to some glitches, accessing change sim care from mobile phone or tablet won't work)
After you logged in, unsuspend first if you have suspended your service earlier.
Then click Quick Links on the top right and select Change Sim card and follow the steps:
