Need a new phone n good plan with more than 2gb data

What is your device account balance with Virgin?

If you leave Virgin now, you are saving $20/m.  You will be break even if your device account has $240 or less. 

Why not call Virgin and ask for a lower price plan with the same 2GB data?  For the past year, plan are getting cheaper and more data.  If you don't ask, you will pay the same.  If you ask, they may offer you a cheaper plan!

You need to look somewhere else to get a new phone. 

PM does have a 2GB plan.

$33 1.5GB data with autopay 

$38 5GB data with autopay.

Today and tomorrow only, you will get extra 3GB bonus data as an add-on.  Data add-on will not expire.  Any unused unused add-on data will be rolled over to next 30 cycle.  You can activate the $35 plan($33 after the $2 off autopay) this weekend and try it for 6 months.  1.5 GB data may be fine with you.  If not, you still have 2GB data(1.5DB from plan 0.5GB from the bonus data) for 6 months while you are looking for another provider or PM may change the plan offer.

Your phone with Virgin will work with PM, so no need to buy another phone.  Just make sure it is unlocked before you port over, also there is promotion going on this weekend that might interest you.

Edit:  Nevermind about the promotion since you are locked into a contract for a while it looks like.  PM has many promotions throughout the year, so hopefully, you'll catch one when you decide to port over.

@sweetmum77   PM does not sell phones, so you will need to buy an unlocked phone that is compatible with PM's network.

The plan that offers more the 2GB of data is the $40 gives unlimited Canada wide calling and international texting with 4.5 GB plus 500MB bonus data with autopay enabled.

Edit:  @popping  is right the $40 plan gives a discount of $2 ($38), as well as the bonus 500 MB data.
