My phone has stopped receiving text messages.

I had the same problem; no texts received and incoming calls going straight to voicemail. In my case it was fixed by putting the SIM card in another phone (which then received all the missing texts) and then returning it back to my phone.

If you are not on sms and your data ran out and you aren't using wifi that could be the issue.

Does calling work?  How about cellular data?

Try restarting your phone or remove the sim card and reinstall it.  Let us know more information if possible.

@colleenM8   did you try reboot your phone once?

and you sure you are using traditional SMS and not iMessage or RCS?

iMessage and RCS requires Wifi or Mobile Data enabled.  

If rebooting the phone does not work, you can try to put your SIM in another phone if you ahve one around

Or you can try to do a Network Reset
