I just opened an account today I ported my number and I have the $40 plan I can only make calls when someone calls me goes to vm

@Derekbb00, that call was from Bell. Often they like to talk to the customer to see if they can convince you to stay. As soon as the discussion is over, the port goes through. If something messed up along the way, definitely private message the moderator team as already instructed.

Uhm, they usually do not provide any phone number as support is offered via Community Private Message only. Have you send them a message about what looks to be a porting issue?

@Derekbb00, Where are you porting the number from? A cell carrier, land line, voip line?

Number porting takes a bit of time, usually between 2 hours and 2 days. Ports from some carriers are faster than others. I suggest continuing to use the old service until it stops working. That is a sure sign the port is complete. I suspect that calls to the old number go straight to voice mail because the old service is not being used. When not connected to the network, the default for calls is straight to voice mail.
