I moved to a new place and transferred my landline (telus) to the new place. I kept the same number. Now when I call my landline # with my PM cell phone, it told me the number is no longer in use. However, my landline works well otherwise. I restarted my cellphone but it didn’t solve the problem. What can I do?

hi @Calvin999 you rebooted the phone or tested the sim card on another phone?
if same, ask support agent to check and refresh your account

it is getting interesting.. i am able to receive calls from another telus landline, but not my home telus landline. So i can conclude that it is not my phone.

If the phone was locked and incompatible with local frequencies, it couldn't receive any calls in Canada.
I used the same phone with Rogers and bell before.

I saw your response where you mentioned Samsung. You to it from a carrier? Is it unlocked? What is the Samsung model too, remember, we have Samsung models for International, Latin American, China, North America.
Your model number can help you figure that out.

1. Yes
2. Telus, I also used my neighbor's landline, also telus, to call my cell, no response.
3. Samsung, the other mobile phone i tried was also a Samsung.
4. You can try calling your mobile from your landline but dial *67 first, see if it goes thru

What is the name of your phone? Perhaps, it may be lacking the bands in which PM works with.

Allow me to share my experience, i switched to PM a few days ago, unable to receive any calls & messages. been back and forth with them the whole night. In the meantime, i put the SIM in another phone, it worked perfectly. Someone from tech dept called me the next day, after he did something at his end, i was able receive and send text messages, and make calls but couldnt receive calls from Landlines. The tech guy suggested me to do a total reset, it might work. If it doesnt, time for a new phone.
I also downloaded an app called carrier services, apparently it worked on some phones under the same situation; but not on mine.

This is issue only when calling with my PM number. It works when calling with my husband’s PM number.

What happens when you call your 'land line' from any other phone - Either mobile or land line phone?
Or this is issue only when calling with your PM mobile?
Maybe transfer is not completed yet. Calling out usually works as you might have temp number assigned (even for a land line).
