Moving to Public Mobile (2nd phone line) - Would not accept 12MONTHS2GB promo code during checkout

  • I ordered a second SIM card to move service for a second line from FIDO, but I kept getting the error message "invalid promo code" using 12MONTHS2GB during checkout.

 

I attempted to submit a ticket but I get error messages re my username when I get to the end of even though I am using all the correct information and I was able to log in to the community portal with my username and password! So frustrating…

 

How do I get the promo code applied for the 50% discount on the SIM and the 2GB bonus when I sign up for the $25 plan once I receive the SIM.

 

NOTE: I can’t confirm with my existing PUBLIC MOBILE number as I have lost the SIM card somewhere when I was trying to love it to another phone. (I have ordered a replacement SIM that I hope I can easily assign to my current PM number.)

You should get that promo once you enter it on activation. If you haven't ordered the second sim I would recommend Canadian Cell Services not only is it 1.99 instead of 5, you will actually get it in a timely fashion.

There's no S in the promo code.

I suggest you purchase a PM SIM from Canadian Cell Supplies online on sale for $1.99 and shipping is a lot faster than from PM.

BTW, you can’t apply the promo on a purchase of a SIM.

You can apply the promo code during activation of the SIM.

Remember to use your referral code from your first PM account for the $10 credit.

Are you attempting to add the 12month2gb promo code when ordering the SIM card?  There is no promo code for the half priced SIM card. The discounted price is automatically applied when paying for the SIM card when ordering from the Public Mobile website.  The promo code for 12x2GB gets entered after you receive the SIM card and when you're activatng your account and plan.

@saint-roch  are you trying to port your Fido line to here?

 

50% SIM card, you price you see on https://store.publicmobile.ca/ is already 50% off (current price $5, the original price was $10) , no need to enter any code

 

12MONTHS2GB is NOT to be used when you buy SIM card.  It is to be used when you activate your line at https://activate.publicmobile.ca/.  Once you have the SIM card, you can activate the line there, request porting during activation and on Page 4 of the activation, it will ask you for the promo code  Since you have a line already, remember to enter your own friend referral code from your first line to receive $10 off

 

 

 

For " I have ordered a replacement SIM that I hope I can easily assign to my current PM number."  , you just need to log into your existing PM My Account (https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/) and click Change SIM card once you have your replacement sim card:

You will pick "Email my code to .." as you lost your old SIM

 

If you have trouble logging into My Account, you can either use Forgot Password or open ticket with PM Support to have the account credentials reset
