Hello,
Could you please let me know what is the process to move from Virgin Mobile to Public Mobile? It's very important for me to keep my existing phone number, I have it for many years.
Thanks!

When you activate your PM sim card, choose number transfer and enter the number you want to transfer over. PM will contact your previous provider asking them to release the number, then your previous provider (assuming it's a cell phone service) will send you a text message to confirm your application. After you reply with "Yes", they will release the number and it will be transferred to your PM sim card in a few hours. If your current/previous number is a landline one, it may take a few days for the transfer to complete. I hope that helps.

@Shurik24 , it might be useful to familiarize yourself with the subscription process as well and number transfer. This help articles covers everything.

@Shurik24 if you are the patient type you can order one directly from Public Mobile but it can take anywhere from 1 week and as much as 3 weeks to arrive by Canada Post. Other options are to order from Amazon.ca for $4.99 and free shipping if you have Prime, which typically takes a few days, OR you can visit a local TELUS/Koodo or Mobile Klinik store and pick one up on the spot for $10

Thank you for quick reply! I see my phone doesn't support the eSIM, so I guess I will need to sign up (on PM) and get the SIM before I can start the process, right?

use this to check
https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/checkSingle.do?
if it is good , then you just need to make sure your Virgin account is active. Get your Virgin account number
when activation, use PM app. You will go through payment step first. Then after payment, you can choose to transfer your number, this is where you enter your phone number and your Virgin account number
Virgin will send you a text to your Virgin sim card after. Reply yes within 90 mins to approve the port

@Shurik24, to confirm your number is eligible to port into PM (Public Mobile), (it is a Koodo site because both Koodo and PM use the same Telus system):
https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/checkSingle.do
If your number is eligible then the signing up is pretty straight forward, you can start the process online but you will need to instal the Public Mobile app on your phone to complete the activation of SIM card or eSIM
