Any specific reason this is being taken away by PM which enables us to get some data and minutes to stay with the best subscription.

I heard a competition offered $19 50gb unlimited calling. Can't find it even on boxing week offers.
Screen shot with time stamp or it's not real / available to the average Joe off the street.
Virgin actually offered that $19 50GB Unlimited Canada Wide Calling back in August. Not sure if it's a new/valid offer now.

@Rajaji Keep in mind that when PM was giving long distance minutes and data for Christmas, no one else that I can think of was doing it. I know that isn't a reason not to do it any longer but they were going above and beyond any competitor at the time.
As for the $19 for 50GB plan???? Seriously? You need to find where it is. No one comes close that I have seen. A killer deal.

Exactly my point.
If one have enough data in bonuses that they can use once in a while and keep some for the emergency then they ll use it. Mine has 250 mb renewed every month so my usage of bonus data is less than yours.

The add-ons that were previously given to customers for free have not been taken away, but you're right that no additional add-ons were given. I believe that for the most part, these add-ons went unused by many customers. Customers requiring add-ons on a regular basis likely aren't on the most cost efficient plans, and plans that covers all usage wouldn't use the add-ons.
I am, one of those people. I rarely used any of those MTM gifts. It wasn't that I didn't want to use them, it was more of a rainy day sort of thing. I have the $15 unlimited talk/text plan with no data. I've been slowly using the MTM data since I got this account. I've used just under 2GB of data in a year. So with that being said, I will require a new plan in 5 years. For now, I'm saving a butt load!! 🙂

Customers requiring the bonus data and minutes are on most economical plan and if they aren't using it the reason might be that they want to keep something for their contingency plan.
What PM is losing anyway if those minutes and data are not used? It is good gift in Christmas month.

@hTideGnow agreed on so much data part but it helps with the kid's lines and old plans like the one I have $15 250mb and 100 minutes incoming.
Does PM has something better in the same price range.

My guess is because newer plans include more data or even unlimited data so less users will benefit from it. Same with some plans including international calls to some numbers.
That and they want to save money.

hi @Rajaji not sure but they stopped it last year already
could be that the 2GB bonus is nothing now given so many has so much data now
