Hello.

I'm a little late to the part @Julianna0130 but after speaking with a CS Agent yesterday, this information may shed some light.

Hello KennethJAdams,

Thank you for reaching the Public Mobile Team and for bringing this matter to our attention.

My name is BLANK, and I'm happy to assist you today,  I hope this message finds you well.

Thank you for your collaboration with the other Community members.

Regarding the delivery time frame for the sim card orders, these are processed and shipped within 3 days, after that, the Canada Post service delivery time frame is 2 to 3 weeks.

Hopefully this clears things up a bit. So it still could take up to another week or so to get it. A lot of folks are frustrated with purchasing SIM cards directly from Public Mobile. Just an FYI, the fastest method is Amazon if you have it or know someone who does. Can get it the next day or day after if you have Prime. Here's the link.

Don't give up just yet. Their current process of sending SIM cards does suck and needs serious improvements but the cell service itself is pretty darn good plus the members here on the forums, friggin awesome! There's usually someone on the boards checking all the time for folks like you who need help. We're all customers like you.

In closing, if you did your homework before you signed up with Public Mobile, you'd know there really is no call center to call for help and everything is done here on the forums. Hence the reason why it's so cheap!

That is terrible. Lucky to buy sim from store when in town. So much doesn't work at Public?

I ordered my SIM cards August 5 and they just arrived in the mail today.  No email confirming they were shipped, at least I got them.

thanks for your help, I unfortunately can’t find a order number on anything so the service ticket won’t work I filled one out best I could yesterday. I’ll look into a different sim card and try again with customer service.

I am sorry you are experiencing this. Have you submitted a ticket with customer support? I know many have experienced many delays waiting for a SIM directly from PM.

I would suggest picking up a SIM from a Telus location (phone first to make sure they have them) or grabbing one on Amazon for $4.99 with prime shipping. If you do this I’d contact support and explain the situation and they should be able to reverse the original sim order.

The below link will allow you to private message a customer support agent directly in order to get a response

Keep an eye on your mailbox here as that is where your reply will come in.

As for already having paid for the service, that makes sense as PM is prepaid but your service won’t actually start until you activate the SIM card in your phone. So no worries about having fewer days of service once you get your SIM.
