Minutes usage

My plan says that I have 100 minutes Canada wide outgoing calls and unlimited incoming calls. I have used about 50 minutes outgoing. It says I have used all my minutes but have only used 50 outgoing. I don’t understand

Check your usage history at your account.

Every call is rounded up to full minute. Thus if you make a call of 1-59 sec it is = 1min.

@Mknor   Honest , this is an industry practice.  All mobile providers or long distance phone cards use the rounding up scheme

Thank you that’s probably the best option.

@Mknor Hi with that plan (I have it to) it is best to buy the five dollar 500 Canadian minutes addon for times when you run out of your minutes it stays on your account until it is all used up it is a one time purchase

@Mknor   Please note that minute usage are round up to the next minute.  So, a 5 seconds call will be counted as full minutes

Also, checking voicemail form your phone will be counted towards outgoing minutes as well

I suggest you to login to My Account, go to Usage History page and download the usage in Excel and then filter it out and try to add up the minutes used.

If you decide to just check the minutes usage online only without download, please note there is a glitch if you filter the usage on the page there.  Please refer to my earlier post for workarounds:

(Again, I suggest you to simply download the file and filter it using Excel instead)
