Messaging. New Public account and new iphone

New Public account subscription and new iPhone. Not receiving all texts, only some. Have tried turning off iMessage. Can’t even  confirm identity as requested by Public because not re diving text containing verification code.

@Tjsg   Did you just port in your phone number from another provider?  Do calls and data work and you can send texts but just don't receive some?

you can make outgoing calls and text and just not receiving text? Can you receiving incoming calls? how about incoming texts from friends?

If you are not receiving any incoming calls/text and If you ported in your number, did you reply a text to your old provider and reply YES within 90 mins?  If you miss that, the porting was not completed and hence you are not receiving incoming calls.  There is a number you can call to talk to live support and re-trigger the process.  I will message you the number, please check your Community inbox, envelope icon on top right

Is this a new number or did you bring in an old number? Maybe a simple restart. Maybe reset network settings. What about calling in and out? Can you browse a web page on cell data (not wifi)? Go to settings, general, about and see if any updates want to happen.
