Messages not going through

I have an issue after switching to public mobile that my messages will not go through to any contact who uses an android phone

Are you using an iPhone or Android device? Also, when did you sign up? If you're porting a number, it may take time for the transfer to complete.

first, did you receive inbound calls and text?

remember to remove the old carrier sim card, or disable the old carrier esim

Then  uninstall Google Message, reboot phone and then resintall (or update) Google Message from Play Store
