Hi Community, 

We are aware that some of our customers have been experiencing data-related issues. Our teams are actively investigating intermittent data issues affecting some customers.

If you are having problems connecting to your mobile data services, try one of the following steps to restore data:

  • Toggle Airplane mode ON, wait 30 seconds, and switch it back off
  • Restart your device

In many cases, these steps will restore your connection temporarily at least. Until the issue is resolved, you may need to repeat them periodically.

Rest assured, our internal team is working to get this resolved as soon as possible and we’ll share any updates when we have them here.

Update 1 (4:14pm ET, May 27): Thank you for providing your examples, our network team is continuing to work towards a resolution. We don't require any further examples, and will provide all new updates in this post, as soon as they become available.

At this point, the data issue is a safety issue for me due to my occupation.  I'm also not getting group texts and we've just had a death in the family so you can imagine, the ability to receive and send group texts is very important.  Your incompetence has been noted.  I'm going to find a new carrier tomorrow.

Oh yes ive had to restart about 4 times just today but at least i get a signal to carry on until they get things sorted out.👍

When you shut down leave it off for a couple of minutes before restarting, has worked for me.. this is a bummer but these things happen with all providers remember during covid with Rogers.. really bad for weeks and they haven't been the same since.

This is just a temporary fix. Issue is still there 24-48 hours later.

I have 0 data signal, and doesn't help I need to travel somewhere that requires data to use maps. I've had no data for days, and wonder how I'll be compensated for the service issues.

It's not working at all, and even a very temporary, very small data signal disappears soon. I am frustrated with my work, and seeking a Wi-Fi or a hotspot from my co-worker.

Imagine being a cell service provider and thinking this is all thats needed when their primary service becomes unavailable? I hope they loose a significant amount of business. I know they lost mine.

For the last 3-4 days i have had to restart my phone to get a connection every day..3-4 times a day, .. 3 times just today, have to walk outside to get the signal to connect, hope they get this worked out

Can you please be more specific about where these outage are happening so that your customers can figure out whether they have a data issue or a phone issue?

I fixed the issue with the wipe cache partition feature on my android phone. I believe only older android phones can do this.

I believe most all the costumers already notice the data issue! But tell me what can I do if after do all restarting, airplane mode, check for network nothing works??? Are you going to give us a refund???

This is ridicoulous!!! Especially when There is no customer service number to call and get straight answer!! 

When and who is responsible for issueing refunds ?? This is horrendous service !1 Big mistake joining public moble . I have been out driving and urgently needed data to access maps no desire to pay for this level of service

2 phones 2 different plans both having problems, one of these plans is my daughter Phone and she’s been having a hard time getting a hold of me the pass couple days to pick her from work,  and sports.

I message would have been nice explaining that an issue was known from PM’s end. I didn’t know it it was my phone, my workplace, or my data provider.

Had issues on Sunday May 24, while travelling from Michigan back into Canada, had issues calling another Telus user on Monday May 25 - call cut out, couldn’t dial no signal, had issues sending text and accessing internet May 26 at 3:40-4:15 pm in Amherstburg Ontario

Issues started May 26 and continued May 27th. Intermittent. The toggling of the airplane mode helps to restore service 75% of the time. Located on PEI near Summerside
