I’m going out of country and want to keep my phone number but won’t be using my phone. What’s the lowest cost subscription I can change to keep my phone number.

You will have to log in to your account and see what is available to you. Not all 'low cost' plans are available to everybody.

Its prepay so pay once every 90 days to keep current plan / promo
I think the $35 for 50GB CAN/USA/MEX is the best overall plan (certainly cheaper than any other carrier in market)
Or even last years $40 for 75GB CAN/USA if you want more data and dont care about Mexico much

Your best course of action is entirely dependent on HOW LONG you'll not need the service, @Joey89
If under 90 days, simply turn off auto-subscribe, then make sure to turn it back on and pay your subscription cost BEFORE 90 days passes from when your current cycle ends.

hi @Joey89
you really have to check what is the lowest plan showing up on your My Account's Change Subscription page
PM only provide some plans but not all plans now for existing customers. And usually you won't see many choices for cheaper plan
we also find out there is no point ot ask support agent to help for plan changing, they can't get you plan that is not available to your My Account, too

@Joey89 You can only change to the plans that are available to you to change to in your account , but you can turn off auto subscribe and the plan won’t renew on your renewal day , paying attention to that date you can leave account in suspended state for 90 days before having to make manual payment again for 30 days so on the 85-87 day make payment for another 30 days and you can rinse and repeat the process for long as you like . And just pay. For 30 days instead of 90 days for your time away
Turn auto subscribe off/on
