Lost SIM card

I would like to purchase an eSIM but want to be sure that I will be able to keep my current phone number. Please advise.

new subscriber or existing PM?

if existing, just download PM app and use the same login email to login and buy eSIM from Account -> Purchase Sim card and choose esim

if new subscriber, you need to make sure your account with the old provider is active.  Then download PM app and create a login, subscribe and choose transfer phone number.  But you said you lost your sim card, you won't be able to approve the port request on the old provider sim card.  This is something you need to talk to your old provider and hope they can approve it for you

You have the option during checkout. If your sim was from public mobile you get the option to convert your phone you esim. If your sim isnt from public, then you still get the option to use existing phone number and transfer it to public mobile

yes, you can keep the number.  Many have done that without problem

What you need to do is to download the PM app on the phone you want the esim installed on.  Then login to the app.  For 2FA sms, if you cannot receive it via text, click Didn't receive code or Resend code, then choose Send email or Send voice message (to get it from voicemail, call yourself from another phone to retrieve )

after you are logged in, go to Account page and choose Buy sim card and select eSIM.
