Issues announced through SIMon bot

Well looky looky....

When selecting the Public Mobile Bot it notifies of a 611 outage.

That is a neat way, and more streamlined method, of getting the message out there. 👍

If they must use SS then I would go with your idea of a colour change of  the button to signify a warning . Or a little symbol pop up  in the middle of it .

ha ha ....what SS are you thinking about? I think we need to get her input on this too!!

Good point.  But I was thinking.....it is always on the bottom right no matter where you are.

Why not just put a warning box on the homepage  so any warning is highly visible  to any customer using their account ... this just seems like an attempt to try and  justify Simple Simons existence .

On second thought if the Chat Button had a "Bulletin" in the talk symbol or around in the green, that might urge more people to click for an "Urgent Message". Or have a second Chat Button??

 @barrascuk : Non-regulars might use 611 and find dead air and wonder why. They might come here and make their way down the support tree and find the chatbot first. There it is without typing anything.

But who goes there on a regular basis? I avoid it and find it annoyingly insufficient.

@Meow

Lol....like me! I gave Simple--Simon a go a long time ago and frustratingly struggled my way thru cursing and swearing and nearly turned my tablet into a frisbee but after about a half hour I managed to submit a ticket.

So yeah that won't help me either but a good idea.

How many times you actually click on chat bot? I do it like never so no use for me.

I would prefer similar announcements on main Community or My Account page not some obscure places...

 @esjliv : Isn't that what we're talking about? (apart from the chatbot notice 🙂 but what was the notice about...).

Edit: But I do think that's a reasonable place to put a notice. Amongst all other possible options. But why not just put it out to all avenues?

@Anonymous , i was just thinking of the notice in SIMon bot.

Not thinking about what 611 would and would not allow, but you have widened my horizons to thinking broader. 🙂

 @esjliv : We can buy US roaming add-ons and the US minutes. It says international minutes but then doesn't work. There never was any Canadian add-on (particularly after the $5 came on).

@Anonymous   you mean through 611? oh..okay, gotcha.

Still no non-US add-ons. Sigh.

@Anonymous  - uh? I don't understand, can you explain?

@Anonymous

At the very least the $5/500min add on would be nice.

Except it's over now.....🤔

@darlicious , lol, yes i did notice that.

I also called 611, and it was working fine, so there was not overtime issues.

Guess, it is a manual "Go and Remove Notification Message step".
