Issue with porting and temporary number still showing

Hi everyone,

I switched to Public Mobile from Rogers yesterday and chose the $20/60GB promo plan. The activation went through, and I can make calls, but my phone settings still show the temporary number that was assigned during the setup.

I’ve checked the community archives and noticed that many people here have faced similar delays with iMessage or system settings updating to the ported number. Should I just wait for 24 hours for the port to fully complete, or is there a specific step in the app I missed?

Did you respond yes to Roger's port request text?  

Are you able to receive calls or texts on your original number?  Check if your Roger's account is still active?

The port should have been completed by now.

Hi, in the app, under account,  there is a section called Account.  The phone number is there, can you can it to your original number?

Or on the website, go to Profile and click on the icon beside the phone number to change it.

If your not able to change it yourself then you can submit a ticket and get an agent to change it for you.
