porting issues, maybe?

So, I currently have 2 cells.  I have a Galaxy S22 that I used to sign up for Public Mobile. The S22 has the temporary Public Mobile number assigned to it as a eSim.  I have a Moto G Stylus 2024 that was used for Fizz and has the number I want to port to Public Mobile, but the Moto G Stylus uses a physical SIM.  I have confirmed with Fizz that I am porting my number to Public Mobile.  I received a text from Public Mobile on the Moto G Stylus saying "To successfully complete your number transfer request, please restart your phone."  I have restarted the Moto G stylus and the S22.  The Moto G stylus now has no service but still has the phone number I want to port assigned to the physica lSIM but no service.  The S22 still has the temporary number from Public Mobile assigned to the eSim and the S22 still has service.  What do I need to do to have my ported phone number working on the Moto G Stylus and have the temporary number on the S22 discontinued, and can I use an eSim on the Moto G Stylus instead of a physical SIM?

Thank You

First, hide the SIM numbers.

Start by making sure you can get the service working on the S22 as the system has that SIM already before switching to the other device. Once that is working, that is when I would suggest changing the SIM number in your account to one on the Moto.

If you don't have one already, you will need a new physical SIM or eSIM from Public for the Moto, you won't be able to reuse the one from Fizz.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have taken the physical SIM from Fizz out of the Moto, so the Moto has no SIM or eSim installed on it.

That didn't work either.  Now, in my profile it has a SIM card Number of:  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and the current phone number is the correct ported phone number.  I checked the physical SIM card number from Fizz and it is different, but the eSim from Public Mobile on the S22 with the temporary phone number has that SIM Card Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.  Could  that be the issue?  What if I got a new eSim from Public for the Moto and changed the SIM card number in my profile to the new eSim card number?

The no service on the Moto suggests that the port went through and the old service was discontinued, you can ignore what phone number it reports, it's not going to update after service is cutoff.

Make sure the eSIM is set active and primary on the S22, maybe toggle it on/off, not sure of all the steps to make it pick up new number. It also may take a little while.

I have reset and restarted both phones, but the issue still persists.  The temp number is still onthe S22's eSim and the ported number is still on the Moto's physical sim from Fizz with no service.

Restart the S22, perhaps reset network settings, it should pick up the ported number. If that is successful, then login to Public and update the SIM number to the SIM card you want to use in the Moto.
