I also am having trouble activating my canadian phone number.

I would like to cancel and get a refund since i can not port my phone number. No rate center in my area. 

Sorry @Dngreen , 807-275-xxxx are numbers located in Fort Frances, ON.  Telus (owner of PM) does not have a "rate center" there and hence your number would not be able to port into Public Mobile/Koodo/Telus.   

If you want to join Public Mobile, you will have to choose a new phone number that is located from a nearby city

But if you already paid and decide not to come to PM due to the porting issue, please reach out to support by direct message:

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after ticket submitted, CS Agent will reply to you there     

 

FYI, with the rate centre limitation, you can only port your number  within  Bell, Rogers, IrisTel, Distributel and their sub-brands

Tbaytel is part of Rogers system in ontario and Public Mobile will not accept. I need a ticket

at which step in the activation you got the error? 

which one was your old carrier? Koodo ?  If Koodo , was it a Koodo Prepaid account?
