So my plan says that it has international texting - but when I send a text to my friend with a France number, it does not arrive.
When she sends a text to me, it arrives just fine - and I even see it in the same texting box as the message I tried to send. So it has to be the right number.
Why wouldn't the messages be arriving to her?
(for reference - she is currently in Canada standing next to me; she has some super plan in France where she has basically unlimited everything)

My usage history seems to record my texts to her as phone calls (but she receives and sees nothing).

9 number after 33 should be fine as that mean you dropped the 0 from the area code
can you try to text another French number and see if it works?
and did you check the Usage history, and see if it records the text you sent to her that was found missed and the text she sent you ?

Yep her France plan apparently totally works here.
I'm not sure what I need to do to make the text function. When I try to PHONE her, it connects just fine.

I replied to her text - she didn't receive mine.
Additionally, I PHONED her, and it worked. The number I have listed started with +33 and then has 9 numbers after it.

And her plan works in Canada???? That must be really super plan.
Maybe +1 is required when you send to her? And yes, PM has unlimited international texting in/out. Confirmed from personal experience...

Another customer has this same issue , not sure there was a solution just a carrier glitch possibly if all else fails I would try customer support to into it and please report back if you get a solution so we can advise others . Use orange message icon to contact customer service

did you try to simply reply her text?
and how you text her? what number sequence you put in?
generally , it is 011-33-Area code- Phone number.
