Incoming calls issue

KrasimirIliev
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Hi there,

Please help me with issues to receive incoming calls... A voice notice comes up every time somebody tries to call me that "this number is not equipped for incoming calls". I've restarted my phone; pulled my SIM card; switched it with another phone... all small tricks, but it still not working...

My plan includes 100 minutes Canada wide calls and unlimited incoming calls. My phone is iPhone 5S.

Please advise and thank you in advance!

If you did not recently port your number or anything, it sounds like you may have inadvertently forwarded your phone to something like 416-299-6099, which plays an announcement "The number you are calling cannot receive incoming calls".

You can undo any inadvertent call forwarding by dialing ##21# (to clear unconditional forwarding) and ##004# (to clear conditional forwarding).

can you try manually selecting network "3G ONLY" or WCDMA only,

for iPhone visit Here link

or Here link,

and do Rebooting your phone

This is quick and simple,

*what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

or can you try reseat the SIM card and Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. waiting a 1 minute

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,

and do again Rebooting your phone,

When callers are hearing a mesage about a a Public Mobile customer not being equipped to receive phone calls, this is an issue with the account/plan.  Changing phone setings isn't something that could fix that.

do you receive a SMS message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to port your number. Your reply should be: YES.

The confirmation message can take a few minutes to come in. You have 90 minutes from the time of request.

Did incoming calls work before?

Are you a new customer?  Did you just port your number over?
