I have a alternate phone number in my Account Info in my Profile, but now the alternate phone number is not in service anymore, I do not have another phone number, how do I delete it? And what is the alternate phone number for?

I tried that an hour ago. I clicked on the edit/pencil button, removed the number, but it doesn't allow you to save and says: "Invalid Alternate Phone No." Their system doesn't allow you to leave it empty. I'm a bit concerned that if PM calls that number, someone else might answer and have access to my account. Maybe I should try entering a made-up number that doesn't exist.

as far as I know, the alternate phone number really has no use, PM will never try to reach you over that number. So, you can leave it if you like
But if you really want to update it, or remove it, login My Account, go to Profile page, and click the pencil icon to the right of Alternate number. Or you can use this direct link :
