@johnpublic 250 Mb is not a lot. If you missed disable Mobile data and accidently used it, it could easily be gone.
May I know if you are using Android or iOS? On Android, you can trace back your usage on the device to cross check with PM usage. No such option for iOS but I can advise you what to do to track the usage from here

PM will use minuscule amount of data on daily basis for its own purpose but it will returned to you next day.
How much data you are talking about.

How much data was used? There is a small data buffer of 5 mb used when a plan renews overnight (even though data was not used). If you turn your data on/off. That data used should also change in your PM data tracker. It is a known issue, but should not affect your data incorrectly being used up.

Thanks @MrSpock I think I missed OP's question
@johnpublic Another thing, what you are seeing on My Account could be cached. So, to confirm you see the latest update of the usage, please use Incognito mode or try to use a completely different browser (Edge/Firefox/Chrome)

@johnpublic Data enabling is something on the device.
On android:
Usually you just pull down the menu from top and there is a toggle button to enable or disable

On iPhone:
