I used all my data and now I’m cut off. I thought my plan would simply throttle to a lower speed after using all my data.
please help.

Most plans have a data limit with the max you can use. Best approach when you switch plans always check the max data is for each plan. The only thing unlimited in most phone plans is the canada wide voice calling.

Only some older legacy PM plans have "unlimited" data. If you subscribed recently, your plan would be limited.
You can buy an add-on to cover you until your next renewal. Or You could upgrade to a more expensive plan with more data.
Just be aware that you will not be able to downgrade back to a cheaper plan.
If you were like me, as a new customer, I played around with my phone plan and ran a bunch of speed tests which burned off a lot of data. Once the novelty wore off and my usage settled down, I found that I rarely use more than 2GB of my 6 GB plan.
Good luck.

Unless specifically stated, plans are no standard with unlimited data. Check your plan details by signing onto My Account in the Subscriptons & Add-Ons tab it shows your plan details like how many data you have, data speed etc.

Hi, which plan are you on? If you've recently received it, it would not be throttled as those are not being offered at the moment. So if that's the case you'd either have to purchase an add-on with funds, redeem points if you have enough or wait for your renewal.
Log into your account and check the information under the Usage Breakdown for data used and available.
Account tab in the app.
