I subscribed a 5G plan however I never got 5G speed since. it's LTE with 20~30MB/s only.

Well, I have seen that the LTE+ and 5G speeds do vary a lot, ngl
But, 5G gets more impacted if you're inside your home, but LTE works just fine. I did learn it the hard way coz I did not have access to home wi-fi as I was getting it repaired.
And you getting 20-30Mbps, did you try restarting and manually selecting to see if it is something diff, if not, try outside to see if it helps!
Slowly slowly, PM is working on enhancing the network so we have to be patient, they have changed a lot since I joined the fam, back in 2023

There is zero delay in speed changes when changing to plans that include different speeds or for the speed to be properly set after activation. The information that you have provided is outdated.

HI @Alex130
my 5G speed is between 150 to 200Mbps most the time.
yes, iPhone XR cannot use 5G but you should still get close to 5G top speed when you are on 4G/LTE network
make sure you have latest iOS, and update the Carrier Profile and try Reset Network Settings. Also, test in different area and see if any good speed out of it

What's your 5G speed though? Thanks.

@Alex130 Yes, that'll stop you from connecting to 5G but your speed should be good on LTE also. My iPhone 13 gets 5G when I'm out and about but stays on LTE when I'm home and speed is still good most of the time but it does vary, which is normal.

@Alex130 iPhone and my area is covered
Which iPhone? 5G ability started with iPhone 12. If yours is 12 or newer do you have it set to 5G Auto or 5G On?

The same

Try selecting 4G or LTE and see if speeds increase for you.

@Alex130 What phone do you have, and have you checked 5G coverage in your area? You can get higher speeds than that on a 5G plan with LTE but it does vary.

it could take up to 72 hrs after activation to get maximum speeds. In cellphone settings, select 4G to see if things speed up.
