I ported my number and it's not working

Ported over from bell to public , didn't receive the confirmation text but bell insists that the port was successful on their side . I was receiving calls from my wife and mother in law because they are with public mobile but all other incoming calls gets redirected to voicemail after 1 ring and text doesn't work either. Also I am able to make outgoing calls and text . Then randomly just received a text from public saying my old number appears to be inactive and they can't move it over right now , and they assigned me a different number . PLEASE HELPP !!! I NEED MY NUMBER .

When you call your number and it goes to voicemail is it your bell voicemail? Does your bell Sim card still work? Can you log into your bell account? If you did not recieve the PAT (porting authorization text) then your phone # cannot be ported to pm. If your bell account is closed, Sim deactivated then bell has screwed up big time and you need to speak to them asap.

I am surprised that Bell told you porting was completed without replying to the text from them confirming you are porting over to PM. This step is to prevent illegal SIM swapping.

It sounds like porting is in limbo and partly completed.

I will pm you the porting department.

It seems your number wasn't ported correctly. You can reach out to the porting team for assistance. Look in the top right corner mailbox. Hope this helps.
