I need to get a new sim card

I went overseas and lost my sim card. I need to get a new one with my same number. I've tried to order from my account but  it won't let me add its sending a verification code to my number and I don't have service due to the sim card.

How do I order a new one?

Click on resend code few times until you get e-mail option for a code.

You can buy SIM from PM or any other available resource. Try local Telus store, amazon, ebay, kijiji.

PM delivery is 5-10 business day (or longer). When you get your SIM just do swap SIM through your account.

@Silvana76 Once you have a new SIM card and logged back into your my account . You can SIM card swap the number like this and keep your same phone number and plan

Note only do this on lap top or computer/ not mobile device

you don't need to login My Account to buy new sim card

and in fact, I suggest you to buy from Amazon for cheaper ($4.99 vs $10) and qucker delivery or from local Telus/Koodo stores for getting it in person

 

But for My Account login, you do need to login My Account to request change sim card after you got a new one

Try this

If you have already created an EverSafe id, you can ask the code to send to email instead
On the screen it is expecting you to enter the code, click Resend code and then choose Send email

If you have not created an EverSafe id yet,  you won't be able complete the part to link your My Account with the EverSafe ID, that needs a working phone with a working PM sim using SMS.  (Sending the code to email would not be a choice until  EverSafe id is fully setup) 

Try these workarounds, it could bypass the SMS in linking My Account with EverSafe ID

  1. Reset your password to self service account. Once reset, sign in again with new password. Might be able to receive 2FA via email instead to gain access.
    (!!!You will need to click Resend Code and then Send email to trigger the 2FA to email)
  2. Potential workaround (for some): If you don't have access to SMS OTP, try entering an incorrect OTP code 4 times. For some individuals, this is giving the option of an email instead.
