Did you mean:

I’m not in the US

Good Day

I’m visiting Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. This is right across the River from the US. I received a message welcoming me to the US. I do not have a US plan and am now having trouble using my phone. Sorry if this has already been addressed. I couldn’t find the answer.

Since you are close to US PM is picking that up and notifying you to activate US service.
If you do not have US add-on nor plan, ignore message.

hi @AmandaH15

this is a common issue when you are close to the border.

All you need to do to get back PM service is to go to Connection, Mobile network, and change the Mobile connection from Automatic to Manual and pick Public Mobile.  With that, your phone would be locked to PM and won't try to connect to the strong US signal

@AmandaH15  that's a standard message every will receive when at the border or in the US.

You will not be charged an fees for being connected.

You said your phone is not working. Do you have roaming on? You can turn it off.

Restart your phone and see if that will fix any issues.

Was your phone working ok just prior to you being in the location that you are at currently? If you go to another location not close to where you are currently at, is your phone working?

Maybe sign into your account and view the status.
