I don’t think I activated my account right. I was doing the activation I’m trying to import a landline I’ve filled out the registration putting in the landline as my phone number. I realize that in order to Port an A landline,I have to have a different phone number first and then do a request for the landline to go to. So I went to my profile page and changed my phone number but I think now I can’t import the phone number from the landline because you’re only allowed one phone number change in a month can I just reset this all or I’m paying for one month of service that I won’t be able to use? I think I’m regretting using this service. And why can’t I talk to someone to help me?

@softech Unless PM changed things recently, the number change is within a 30 day period and isn't connected to the renewal cycle. I have tested the 30 day number change option when PM only allowed one number change within 30 days, so assume that 30 days would start from the first number change.

You mean changing PM number in the middle of porting? Wow, that will really make a mess. Particularly porting land line if somebody had it for a long time...
It will be much simpler if people would not rush and plan to get PM service in few steps. Get SIM, activate SIM, create self-serving account, pick temp number. Confirm all services work as expected for a few days. Then port whatever you want...

@Meow , If the port process started on the landline number, but the PM number was changed, the process may have been interrupted.
It may just mean the landline will stay as is, but you never know...wouldn't want to lose the landline number here.
I think it is very important they either switch it back...or get this dealt with sooner rather than later.
@Redhairwitch if that number @softech provided cannot provide assistance (hopefully it can), submit a ticket with Public Mobile regarding your port here:

Call your landline provider to make sure you haven't screwed up your port and possibly lose your landline phone number. Luckily it is a landline and not a mobile number that ports right away. Does your landline still have service? That would be a good sign for now....but run don't walk over to your phone and straighten this out so that changing your phone number in self serve doesn't cancel your port and release your phone number.

You can change your phone number up to 4 times per billing period.
Since you already started few processes (activation, porting, etc.) I would suggest to wait few days as porting land line can take up to 7 days.
Can you log in into your self-serving account?

@Redhairwitch you probably have already requested it when you activated your line. Yes, you can request porting of landline during activation. Please note porting form landline could take as many as 3-5 business days
FYI, you are allowed 4 number change every cycle. But as I said you likely have done the right thing to request during porting
There is a number you can call to check your porting status. They will confirm if they got your request and will advise if anything missed i will message you the number. Please check your Community inbox, envelope icon on the top right.
