I am unable to switch to the Black Friday $35 plan.

I am currently under the $39 canada US Plan. I want to switch to the $35 Black Friday Canada, US and Mexico plan. I am unable to do so from my account, it does not show the Black Friday Plan when I go from my account. On the homepage however I see the plan.

Thanks all for the support. I submitted a ticket and suddenly I was able to see the 35$ plan when I clicked on "Change Subscription". I am now subscribed to the Black friday plan. This is resolved.

It's part of Telus strategy to increase AMPU (Average Margin Per User) by denying low priced rates to customers, while incurring low expenses (no real time customer support).  It is a very deceptive tactic, not giving a warning at the time of upgrade that you won't be able to downgrade in the future. 

I'd suggest that you disable subscription, and vote with your wallet and move on to different provider, instead of being held back by sunk costs (any rewards) unless the agents budge and let you downgrade.

@Reddy333 What do you mean it didn't work for you? Did you try to manually change plans? And you didn't see the $30 plan as an option?

I saw on an online forum that some a accounts were unable to get the black Friday deals in app. Apparently they logged in online on a browser and they were able to upgrade ? Someone else may be able to clarify further. 

hi @Reddy333 if you are up for renewal, which mean not renewed yet, why not try to change to the $30 plan if it is available to you 

but if you don't like the "risk", try ask agent, so far, I think some got declined but some got what they want

Hi, that method did not work for me. I am up for renewal today, perhaps that the reason. Is there another work around? The fine print does not mention current subscribers cannot switch to the $35 plan.

hi @Reddy333 yes, with the PM targeted marketing scheme, you might not see all the plans and hence you cannot change to it

but do you see a $30 plan? of you do, a trick is to Change Now to the $30 plan immediately and the $35 Can US Mex plan might show and you can then schedule a plan change on renewal 

but remember, this trick involves an immediate plan change , which you will lose some unused days on the current plan , and just hope that $35 plan will show up after.  No guarantee but this trick worked for someone
