I am just not able to call and text my friend who switched to public mobile with me this afternoon, and I don't know why.

If your old SIM still works, then it means your port request has failed.

You will need to contact Moderator_team to finish the port.

 

This will always happen when you try to port from Koodo Prepaid, because they share the same backend with PM and porting needs to be handled manually by Moderator_team.

 

Also your old provider account must remain active for a successful port. Your old provider account will automatically close once the port request is complete.

@sampahd  Have you tried rebooting your phone?

@hzjdtc hi did you accidently block each other?

@hzjdtcWhat happens when other people who didn't switch try to call your numbers? Also if you were using Koodo Prepaid before you will need to contac the Moderators via this link.

I just switched over to Public Mobile as well, last night. I was able to text then, but am not receiving or sending any texts successfully at the moment, and haven't been able to make calls. I think my issue might be the switching my old number over, but I am not sure. I have asked the moderator team, and am hoping they can help me figure it out! Best of luck!

@hzjdtcCan you provide more information where is your friends switching from? What does it show on your friend's screen? It might be your friend has a stuck port or still porting in progress.
