Hello,
Can anyone help get my account closed?
I visited Canada two months ago and a Canadian relative set up an account for me.
I am not using it and have asked Public Mobile to shut my account but they haven't done so.
I've asked via support mechanisms but they haven't actioned it.
Any advice on complaint contacts given they have not actioned my request and continue to charge me?
Thanks

HI @KBAust
your relative set up the account for you? they should know the login to My Account, ask them to login and disable Autopay on Payment page

PM is an online self serve service and you are in control of your account.
Did you try calling 1-855-4PUBLIC and disable AutoPay/Subscribe over the phone?
You can contact your relatives in Canada and supply them with your SIM, email and password to your account and have the close your account by disabling AutoPay/Subscribe.
After 90 days of nonpayment, your account will be closed.

@KBAust How did you contact support, was it by private message? If not, try again by clicking this link and sending a private message, you will need to check your private messages for a response by logging in to this community and looking for replies either indicated by an envelope top right, or by clicking on your avator for the drop down list where you will see "messages".

I wonder if it is complicated by the fact that you did not set up the account yourself, although it looks like it is your credit card? If you have enough information to log into your account you can just change "subscribed" to "unsubscribed" and it will stop payments. The account will then close after 90 days of non-payment but my understanding is that to remove the credit card also you would need a customer service agent. You can ask via private message as mentioned above.

The account closes after 90 days of no payment. Log in to your account and remove the credit card and subscription/auto pay.
