Mis-typed my Community user name when setting up (I blame the keyboard)... how do I change it? I tried creating a new Community ID and it merely took me to my present login. Please advise.

Just to add what was said.
Get a new gmail.
Go into your not wanted Community profile and put that new email address in it.
Start up a new profile with the preferred handle/name
Use your email address that you use for your My account
Make sure you verify it on the Community side and all is working ok
Delete that new gmail.
OR
Go through a CSA.
Edit: I don't know why so many people here use their actual name here..is a loss of privacy!!! Be careful what you are giving away!!!

Since you have to contact customer support for your other issue you can just get them to change your community account username at that time.

While accurate, there's not much reason to change the username for a Community account with only 8 posted messages. It would be much easier (and faster to follow @Luddite advice to creat a new Community account.

I also changed my user name after I decided keep my user name more private so I contacted a moderator (CS_Agent).
They changed it after a day.
