Hi! I just registered for PM and paid for a subscription, with the intention of porting my childs phone # from our current provider to PM. I have received an email confirming the subscription.
I'm not clear on how to activate the eSim and also port the # over. Should I install the app on my own device, or does it need to be done on my childs device (iphone) in order to activate the ESim, port the # etc?
Any help/guidance on this is appreciated!

It is a new account anyway as no family account here
So, use another email to to setup. And remember to use a friend code from your own account for this new one to get the $10 credit on the new account and 1 Public Point each cycle on your own account

be aware that there are no "shared or family" plan with Public Mobile...each account is separate and needs it's own sim and a different email address. Your old number must be still active and in good standing toi be able to port to Public Mobile so don't cancel it. Download the Public Mobile app to the cellphone to create a new account and activate your new new plan..I suggest you take a new number for now. Once your new plan is up and running, then initiate port of old number in to PM. Your old account will deactivate once port to Public Mobile is successful.
If you need esim, then download app, create account and buy the new esim.
