@Paulette523 - if you have the device call 611 from it to remove any Autopay if there is a card registered for Autopay on the account. Then it will go into suspended status upon next renewal if there is not sufficient funds in the account to renew.
After 90 days in nonpay status the account is closed and the number is gone.
If issues persist, submit a ticket to CSA for assistance.
To contact the Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CSA)_Team, there are two methods to reach them found here:

@CountyDownIeUk- Why so adversarial? Perhaps I could have said the executor. No magic.

Really, how does that so magically happen? The only things that are halted are provincial or federal like a DL or pensions etc and are linked to a death certificate. Credit cards are not linked.
Then for here that will not renew the plan. Then it will eventually disappear.
Perhaps somebody here might be interested in taking over the account though.

@Paulette523 sorry for the lost.
If you have access to the person credit card , or the credit card used to pay, you can also t ask the card to make a chargeback, once PM sees that, it will suspend the account immediately.
Or, if the card used will be canceled soon, once the card is canceled, PM cannot get the renewal money, the account will be suspended as well

If you have access to their account, you can go into their self serve and remove payment card and autopay and it will just go into suspension and will be cancelled after 90 days.if not, you can either put a hold on the payment card if you know that or private message a CSA at CS_Agent.
